Elkhorn Ridge Wind Farm

The 80-megawatt Elkhorn Ridge Farm is operational five miles north of Bloomfield. The 27 Vestas V90 turbines are capable of producing 3 megawatts of electricity each, generating enough energy to serve approximately 25,000 residences.
The $140 million project was developed by Midwest Wind Energy, LLC and is operated by Edison Mission Group.
